When my family lived in Levelland, Texas, I can remember spending my summers at my local library. I would walk from the newspaper where my mother worked, down to the library where I would casually stroll down the aisles of the shelves looking for books to read. I loved cracking open new or old books just to smell the ink on the pages. And here’s the funny thing — I still do that today when I go to my local library. Have you ever imagined what your dream home library would look like? Well, I have! I was perusing Pinterest one evening, and […]
Wanderlust Wednesday: Oh The Places I Would Go…
“I would gladly live out of a suitcase if it meant I could see the world.” I haven’t done a “Wanderlust Wednesday” post in several months, but that doesn’t mean that I no longer have those moments that I don’t wish that I could just take a year off and travel. I still have “itchy feet,” or what people may call “wanderlust”, or a very strong or irresistible impulse to travel and explore the world. I haven’t been all over the world (yet), but I always say that when I hit the lottery, I’m going to do some serious traveling! […]
Wanderlust: California
I have always wanted to go to California! I have a couple of friends who live out there and they love it! I actually went to L.A. a couple of years ago for a blog conference, but I didn’t get to venture out beyond the hotel and the area around the Staples Center. One thing is for sure though… I’ve been catching up on some reading; or more specifically, I’ve been reading some great posts from some of the other bloggers I follow. So in this month’s “Links I Love”, I’m going to share with you some of the posts that I’ve bookmarked to read again later. January 2018 Reading List – The Stripe, by Grace Atwood I’m always interested to see what other people are reading, especially bloggers I follow. I’ve even gone to my local library to […]
Steal Her Style: Jennifer Aniston
Jennifer Aniston has set several trends, most notably with her famous “Rachel” haircut. But if you’re like me, then you look to Jennifer for her uber cool California girl style. Even when she’s in New York City, she maintains an air of cool girl style that women everywhere try to replicate. Everyone fell in love with Jennifer in Friends, where she played the lovable Rachel Green. I loved Rachel’s style in the early years because it was a nice mix of cool and quirky, especially most of the short skirts, baggy pants, and body hugging sweaters. I also loved Rachel’s […]
