Earlier this year, I read Stieg Larsson’s “The Millennium Trilogy” – The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played With Fire, and The Girl Who Kicked The Hornets’ Nest. When I say “read”, what I meant was “listened to”, because I checked out the audiobooks from my local library. These audiobooks were read by Simon Vance, who I think was the perfect choice to read these books! For those of you who like to read the book before watching the movie, I strongly suggest you check with your local library to see if they have the audiobooks. You will not […]
A Glimpse Into Her Life
My Week With Marilyn, based on Colin Clark’s memoir of the same name, gave us (the viewers) a glimpse into her life. He attended the University of Colorado on a baseball scholarship, where he was the team’s pitcher. After just […]

Movies for a Saturday Matinee
I’ve been without internet for a few days, so I’ve been watching movies. I watched Real Steel with Hugh Jackman and Thor with Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman. I know I’m probably behind the times when it comes to watching new release movies, but I’ll eventually watch them. Thankfully, my local library has a great selection of movies that I can check out for a week at a time. So if you are stuck in the house on a Saturday afternoon – or any day or night, for that matter – you could watch such classic “chick flicks” like 16 Candles, Pretty in Pink, or Say […]
