Profile of an Actor: Leonardo Dicaprio
For someone as talented as Leonardo Dicaprio, it is still unbelievable that he has yet to win an Oscar! “Hit & Run” is a Fun Ride
I’m not the kind of girl who is into car chase movies, but Dax Shepard’s Hit & Run was an exception. Photo Credit: IMDb Dax wrote, directed, and starred in this “car chase”/”road trip” action romantic comedy. And I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed this movie as much as I did, and even my husband thought it was a good movie. Of course, he also liked the car that Dax drove, because like Dax, my husband is a “car guy.” Here is a brief description of the movie: “Former getaway driver Charlie Bronson (Dax Shepard) jeopardizes his Witness Protection Plan […]

For example, we have this beautiful cardinal that visits our house and flaps itself silly against the mirrors of our vehicles parked in the driveway. I have blogged about this beautiful, yet annoying, cardinal before (you can find that post in my archives), and […]
A Great Moment in American History
I’ve watched many a movie about moments in American history. Black Hawk Down. Pearl Harbor. Saving Private Ryan. Band of Brothers. So tonight when I found myself channel surfing, I made the executive decision to watch The Great Raid, which was based on William Breuer’s book of the same name. I was lucky enough to have met Mr. Breuer on several occasions when I was a news reporter in Cleveland, Tenn. Mr. Breuer has written over 30 books, focusing on World War II, the CIA, and the FBI, as well as the Korean War. The Great Raid is about the raid at Cabanatuan where 500 American soilders were […]
