This blue silk jersey dress is by James Perse. It is the dress I purchased at a thrift store in Chicago last year! I mentioned finding this fabulous dress in a previous post! It is a low v-neck dress, and I usually wear a tank top underneath. This time I paired it with a silky soft scarf.
More Material Than I Can Shake A Stick At
I went to my Grandma Howard’s house this past weekend and spent about two hours going through her fabric closet. It’s no “Mood Designer Fabric” store, but it’s more material than I can shake a stick at. And get this – I don’t even own a sewing machine! Dress Form Outfit: Fitted Florals
I found this fabulous Betsey Johnson dress at a thrift store in Key West, Florida, several years ago. I’ve never worn it because it’s a size “Small” and it’s too tight. This floral dress is made of cotton and Lyrca spandex. I’ve paired it with a fuschia scarf, which I also used as a belt. Wearing the fuschia belt as a scarf (as seen above).
Dress Form Outfit: Ombre Blues
I received an antique dress form for Christmas! So what better way to use it than to dress it up! I put my blue Ombre style sweater on the dress form and it inspired me to “Ombre” something else… I recently purchased just less than one yard of white jersey material and a bottle of Kelly Green Rit Dye.
