Dress Form Outfit #25

During my “vacation” to Colorado, I didn’t get a chance to visit many thrift stores until this past Tuesday, and luckily I found a couple of pieces that I really liked. I went to the ARC Thrift Store in Colorado Springs and found this pretty watercolor floral print top, which I paired with a dressy mini-skirt. The top is by “Juliett Maui”, which I’d never heard of before but I just thought this top was so pretty. Has anyone ever heard of this label before? I googled it, but I couldn’t find anything. Later this week, I’ll update you on […]

Dress Form Outfit #24

I love comfortable clothes! For me, comfort is mandatory, although some of the high heels I wear push me to the limits of my comfort zone. I try to combine being comfortable with being stylish, which sometimes is hard for me to do with my limited wardrobe. But I am really trying hard to push myself a little bit every day to be more stylish, which is why I scour fashion magazines for inspiration. This week’s dress form outfit features a comfortable charcoal gray fitted skirt (95% viscose/5% elastane) and a pink graphic print t-shirt. I actually took these photos this past Saturday afternoon because […]

I have never been to New York, but my husband has been once or twice. A few years ago, when he went for a short business trip, he stopped off and picked up this army green New York cap-sleeve fitted shirt for me. I paired it with a “lowest rise” mini-skirt from Target. A cute pair of espadrilles would make this outfit complete. I love the Stuart Weitzman “Alex” espadrille wedge, which I think would go great with this outfit. Kelly Ripa’s co-host today, Mike Greenberg, mentioned that his wife complimented one of the female staff members on her shoes, which were the […]

Green is my favorite color and this soft cotton sleeveless shirt is not only comfortable, but accentuates my green eyes. I’ve paired this shirt with a cotton/spandex mini-skirt and a long silver necklace. I would wear black wedge sandles with it, or you could wear cute flats (although I don’t actually own any flats). Have a great day!

Dress Form Outfit #21

Memorial Day is less than two weeks away, meaning that everyone will have a long weekend to gather with family and friends for cookouts, parties, and mini-vacations. I think this one-piece short set will make the perfect cookout outfit. It’s shorts, it’s light-weight, and it’s comfortable for standing around in the heat or under a shade tree. I purchased this black one-piece romper at the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughter Thrift Store in Kitty Hawk, N.C. I paired it with an animal print belt and a long silver necklace. Of course, the outfit wouldn’t be complete without a cute (and comfortable) pair […]
