I wrote this blog post a couple of years ago, after the mass shooting in Aurora, Colo. Any death, whether I know the person or people personally, affects my life and touches my heart. In fact, I just found out that one of my former college classmates died in a hunting accident this past Saturday. There was also a tragic bus accident in Chattanooga, Tenn., just yesterday, in which six children were killed. Dealing with the Loss of a Pet

I am taking a brief hiatus the remainder of this week because my beloved dog, Dakota, passed away last week and my heart is still not fully recovered from the loss of my oldest fur baby. He was 16 years old. Death, no matter if it is human or animal, is hard. I cried when Dakota passed away, simply because he was not only a family pet, but he was my baby, my little man, my Koter-boat. Taking a Moment to Remember My Grandpa…

My grandpa Lashlee passed away early this morning (Sunday, November 4, 2012) and my heart is breaking just a little tonight. He was 88 years old. I wrote about him once before (which can be read here) when I was rambling about death. I don’t really have much to say right now. I didn’t post “My Week in Pins”  on Saturday and I will not be posting my “Dress Form Outfit” for this week either, or any other post for that matter.
