I love to read. I have loved reading ever since I was a child. Whether it was for school, work, or for the pure pleasure of being transported to another world, my love of reading lives deep within my soul. Most recently, I listened to two books by Marcus Sakey – The Two Deaths of Daniel Hayes, and Brilliance. Christopher Lane narrated The Two Deaths of Daniel Hayes, and Luke Daniels narrated Brilliance. In The Two Deaths of Daniel Hayes, “A man […]
Book Review: “The Casual Vacancy”
J.K. Rowling’s first foray into adult literature for adults has produced what I consider a very good book. The Casual Vacancy draws you in from the very beginning. Here is a brief synopsis, according to her website, http://www.jkrowling.com/: Photo Credit: www.goodreads.com “When Barry Fairbrother dies unexpectedly in his early forties, the little town of Pagford is left in shock. But nowadays, I rarely get an opportunity to actually crack open an actual book. I do read an actual book when I’m doing cardio at the gym, or I’ll read a book on my Kindle app on my phone […]
Reading “Letters from a Nut”
Jerry Seinfeld “knew from the beginning that I had to do everything I could to let as many people as possible read the hilarious truth about what has been going on inside the mailbox of Ted L. Nancy, whoever he may be.” This is the last line of the introduction written by comedian Jerry Seinfeld for the book Letters from a Nut, written by a guy named Ted L. Nancy. Seinfeld’s first contact with Mr. Nancy was on the night of August 30, 1995, when he went to a friend’s house to watch the Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon. He […]
