For the past two hours, I have been perusing Pinterest, clicking on links, and reading blog posts by other bloggers about fashion, beauty rituals, Coachella, as well as watching a few DIY and “how-to” videos. But for the past 30 minutes, I have been reading other blogger’s “101 things in 1001 days lists.” I thought to myself, “What a cool idea!” Who inspired me to do this list? It was two bloggers… first was Kate from Kate The Almost Great, and she pointed me in the direction of Mackenzie Horan at Design Darling, who put together her first list together in 2011. This list, like Mackenzie says, […]
My Day Job vs My Passion
I have a day job, and I really enjoy it. I work as a Registered Medical Assistant in a thriving surgical practice and I really love what I do and I love the people with whom I work. 2015 has come and gone. Today is the first day of a new year and the possibilities are endless. Out with the old and in with the new. I decided that instead of “new year’s resolutions”, I’m going to make small goals for myself. 1. Wake up when the first alarm goes off in the morning. 2. Get healthier by making some wiser eating and workout choices. 3. Blog more consistently, about topics that interest me and hopefully my readers. These are the first goals I’m working on for the first quarter of this year. Did you make any New […]
2015 Fall Fashion Roundup
I’m ready for fall… for the cooler weather, for the crisp mornings, and for the chilly evenings spent by the terracotta fireplace on our back deck to the scarves, the comfy sweaters, and the boots. So I’ve scoured Pinterest and linked up to some some websites and blogs featuring a selection of fabulous fall fashion trends for the every day woman, the over-40 fashionistas, and the plus size trendsetters.
