The Month of Letters Challenge
Call me “old fashioned”, but there’s something about snail mail that excites me! I love opening up the mailbox and finding a handwritten envelope with a card or even a letter in it! It’s definitely “old school” and most people prefer the quicker method of communication – email. Handwritten letters and cards, sent through the mail, convey a sense of intimacy. I think it provides a sort of connection that email cannot. You, the reader, can see the pen strokes in each word, in each letter. It’s personal. Letter-writing takes time and patience. Dress Form Outfit: Fitted Florals
I found this fabulous Betsey Johnson dress at a thrift store in Key West, Florida, several years ago. I’ve never worn it because it’s a size “Small” and it’s too tight. This floral dress is made of cotton and Lyrca spandex. I’ve paired it with a fuschia scarf, which I also used as a belt. Wearing the fuschia belt as a scarf (as seen above).
Dress Form Outfit: Ombre Blues
I received an antique dress form for Christmas! So what better way to use it than to dress it up! I put my blue Ombre style sweater on the dress form and it inspired me to “Ombre” something else… I recently purchased just less than one yard of white jersey material and a bottle of Kelly Green Rit Dye.
