How to Deal with Rude People

“Whoever one is, and wherever one is, one is always in the wrong if one is rude.”  ~Maurice Baring I subscribe to a blog by Jennifer L. Scott called “The Daily Connoisseur”, who just posted yesterday about “how to deal with rude people.” We’ve all either dealt with rude people or we were the rude person.  Been there, done that… am I right? Ms. Scott just named a couple of ways to deal with rude people and then gave a cute anecdote about how she herself failed to follow her own rules on how to deal with rude people. Short Story: Late Night Phone Call

A couple of years ago, I wrote several short stories with the intent of submitting them to short story competitions. I did enter one of my short stories, but I didn’t win anything. This was the second short story I wrote, which was based on a writing prompt from Writer’s Digest (I think). Late Night Phone Call is about a woman, Deidra, who receives a late night phone call from a friend, Stephanie, who is in danger and needs Deidra’s help. Fashion Icon: Coco Chanel

Biography.com has a rather nice bio on Coco Chanel, which details her rise to fame as a fashion designer. […]

Dress Form Outfit #32

I love skirts and dresses, especially during spring, summer and fall months. This week’s dress form outfit features a vertical striped A-line skirt and a simple white tank top. I would wear a couple of silver necklaces, a few thin silver bangles, and silver hoop earrings. To complete the outfit, I’d wear some cute white sandals or wedges. During the spring or fall, when there’s a bit of a nip in the air, I’d wear my denim jacket or a soft heather gray cardigan. You could also tuck in the tank top and wear a black or white weave leather […]

3 a.m.

I wrote a free-form poem (or something) on 7/14/1994 entitled “3 a.m.” It’s nothing fancy, but I found it along with all the short stories and poems I wrote as a teenager, which dates back to 1989. Anyway, I thought I’d share “3 a.m.” with you – my friends. 3 a.m. 3 a.m. is a beautiful time in the morning in which God set aside for me. I may not always be awake to see that time in the morning, but when I’m awake, it is such a wondrous site. One morning at 3 a.m., the moon shone so bright […]
