My Week in Pins

“My Week in Pins” returns this week after a brief (one week, I think) hiatus. This week I have been burning up my iPad on Pinterest “pinning” everything from recipes to purses, much to the chagrin of my husband who also like to use my iPad to peruse eBay for car parts, farm equipment and the like. This week, I’d like to focus on “statement pieces”, such as jewelry, watches, etc. First up is this bracelet, which can be seen on Etsy. I like it because my name means “butterfly”! When I saw this watch, I immediately thought that if […]

The Millennium Trilogy are Good Reads

Earlier this year, I read Stieg Larsson’s “The Millennium Trilogy” – The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played With Fire, and The Girl Who Kicked The Hornets’ Nest. When film star Marilyn Monroe arrives for the start of shooting, all of London is excited to see the blonde bombshell, while Olivier is struggling to meet her many […]

Dress Form Outfit #36

This week’s dress form outfit is a scarf-style shift dress. I purchased it (as well as another color of this same style dress) from Surf Style in Clearwater Beach, Fla. It is super soft and skims the body perfectly. The belt is not so high that it makes this dress look or feel like an empire waist dress. The simple tie belt hits at what is the smallest part of my midsection – between my belly button and my midriff. I can transition this dress from summer to fall to winter to spring, simply by changing my accessories. Right now, or […]
