Dress Form Outfit #45

I love dressing up but I usually stay away from patterns; however, I found this sheer mullet-style shirt was too beautiful to pass up. I paired with with an oliver green pencil skirt. Because the shirt is sheer, I put a dark teal green tank top underneath. I would pair this with some pretty gladiator-style high heels or some dark brown boots. To give this outfit a little edge (and to keep warm during these chilly fall nights), I would top it with a brown motorcycle jacket (like the one here) or a denim jacket. Have a great day!

Walking for a Good Cause: Save the Ta-Tas

On Saturday, October 27th, I joined thousands of other people who participated in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Knoxville, TN. The 5K course took racers and walkers through downtown Knoxville. I walked with Katy and her husband, Russ, and we had a great time! In my job as a Medical Assistant, I wear scrubs three out of five days. Fridays are typically “Casual Friday”, but on Tuesdays (when I’m not in clinic and seeing patients), I like to dress a bit more professionally. This week’s dress form outfit is one of my typical Tuesday outfits. I actually purchased it the week before I started my new job (five weeks ago today)! This pair of patterned dress pants and the white cardigan were purchased ON SALE at the Banana Republic store in Opry Mills Mall in Nashville, Tenn. I love BR and have purchased a […]

In My Humble Opinion…

When I started this blog, I told myself that there were three topics that I would not discuss — sex, politics, and religion. But funny thing about these three topics… they kind of go hand-in-hand. And since election season is upon us, I thought I’d broach the subject and get my opinion out of my head. [Side Bar: I really hate negative campaign ads and I hate smear campaigns. I think if politicians want to be elected honestly, they should stick to touting their platform and what they plan to do once they get in office. I also think that those […]
