Dress Form Outfit #15

Like the Lucky 13 clothing line, the Dirty Devil clothing line is a favorite among rat rodders and hot rod enthusiasts. These two clothing lines are hard to find here in Tennessee, but I own several Lucky 13 and Dirty Devil shirts. The ladies’ t-shirts are fitted, which I like because it shows off a woman’s figure better. This particular Dirty Devil shirt style is called “Ladies Auxiliary: Queens of Pain” and I paired it with a denim mini-skirt. To give it a girly flair, I used a long black ribbon as a belt. To make it a proper outfit for a rat rod […]

A Few of My Favorite Actors…

“Some people get into this business and they’re so afraid to lose anything. They try to protect their position like clinging to a beachhead. These actors end up making really safe choices. I never wanted to go that route. If I go down, I’m going down swinging.” – Matt Damon For me, actors, specifically male actors, can make or break a movie. I attend several car shows a year with my husband, who is a true automobile enthusiast! We go to a couple of “Rat Rod” shows – one in Lebanon, TN, and another in Knoxville, TN. I try to wear one of my Lucky 13 t-shirts, like this “Foot Fetish” shirt shown below. Some of the women dress up like Pink Ladies and pin-up girls, and they look fabulous! So this shirt is my homage to those girls! Even the guys dress up like Danny and the T-Birds! Those car shows remind me of Grease, except no one is singing “Summer Nights’” […]

A Few of My Favorite Actresses…

I sat down at my desk this evening with the plan to compile a list of a few of my favorite actors and actresses; however, as I started jotting down names, the list grew longer by the second! So here’s “Part I” of my list… The Actresses (in no particular order)! 1. My favorite Elizabeth Taylor movie is The Taming of the Shrew, which I saw in junior high school English class after we read the play. Even in black and white, she was gorgeous. 2. Judy Garland’s most famous role is probably that of Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz. […]

Dress Form Outfit #13

I hope your first day of Spring was as sunny and georgous as mine was here in East Tennessee! I’m not a big fan of shorts because I don’t like the way they tend to ride up in the crotch area, if you know what I mean. So I tend to stick to skirts and dresses. This week’s Dress Form Outfit (#13) was purchased at Filene’s Basement in Chicago several years ago. This beautiful periwinkle blue dress is so soft (92% modal and 8% spandex) and has a ruched waist, which hides my not-so-toned midsection.  I usually wear a long […]
