10 Tips on How to Stay Warm and Stylish this Winter

Winter is here and I’ve got some great tips on how to stay warm while looking like a fashionista! Friday was my birthday and it actually snowed! Talk about an unexpected, but pretty awesome, birthday surprise! It was also 19-degrees outside and my tushie was freezing! {Thank God for the seat warmers in my VW!} On Saturday, my husband took me out for lunch at Longhorn’s Steakhouse for my birthday. I wear scrubs all week and so the weekends are mine to fashion as I want, and I love to show off my style. So on Saturday I wore my […]

Woman of Style: Gal Gadot

I have always loved Wonder Woman, especially when Lynda Carter portrayed her back the mid-to-late 1970s. This generation will get to know Gal Gadot as Diana Prince, a.k.a. Wonder Woman. Not only does she have beauty and grace, but she has wonderful style. This is why she is this month’s “Woman of Style.” A few weeks ago, I watched Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and was struck by Gal Gadot’s beauty. I knew I had seen her somewhere before, and then it hit me. She is the stunning Gisele in Fast & Furious. This Israeli beauty has modelesque looks, but she […]

Pleats! Yes, Please!

Pleats are so on trend right now! They are perfect for holiday parties. Pleats add a touch of fancy to any outfit! I purchased my first pleated skirt back in July. Some of my favorite bloggers are featuring pleats on their Instagram accounts and on their blogs. Metallics, deep burgundy and blush tones, maxis and midi skirts, shiny satins and plush velvets. These pleated skirts can be styled […]

Ask Yourself: Does This Spark Joy?

On Sunday morning, as I was putting away my laundry, I realized that my dresser drawers were over-stuffed and unorganized. So what did I do? I asked myself: “Does this cluttered mess spark joy?” My answer was a resounding “NO!” So I pulled everything from my drawers and used the KonMari Method to fold and organize my clothes. There are no “before” photos, but here are the “after” photos of three of my dresser drawers. I didn’t go so far as to color coordinate my clothes, but I can see how this method of organizing can help one declutter their […]

Dressing for the Holidays

Dressing for the holidays doesn’t always mean ugly sweaters or fancy party dresses. If you’re going out for dinner with friends, you could pair a simple dress with a brightly colored cardigan. But for me, having a few beautiful statement pieces can make the outfit even more special. Today’s dress form outfit is as much about the accessories {jewelry} as it is about the outfit. I purchased the necklace and rings {along with a power gemstone bracelet, and then received the chevron tribal arrow cuff as a gift} from the gorjana booth, back in August while attending the BlogHer #16 conference […]
