Sunday Inspiration: Find Three Hobbies

Everyone has a hobby or two, or three, or six. I think it’s important to have hobbies, and I think that finding hobbies that you love should also challenge you to better yourself. Finding a hobby that makes you money could be as simple as making jewelry or ceramics or growing your own veggies, and selling your wares at the local farmer’s market. Finding a hobby to keep you in shape could mean joining a gym or a rowing club, or going hiking with friends on the weekends. Or you could challenge your friends to join you for a fun […]

My Day Job vs My Passion

I have a day job, and I really enjoy it. I work as a Registered Medical Assistant in a thriving surgical practice and I really love what I do and I love the people with whom I work. I want to live a simple life, but there is just so much stuff out there that I want. Last year, I wrote a blog post […]

Sunday Inspiration: Open Your Eyes to Today

Sometimes we get so caught up in what happened in the past, or we get carried away with plans for the future, that we often forget about the present. Photo Source: Zoella.tumblr.com via Pinterest Don’t get me wrong… I believe that it’s okay to reminisce about the past or to be excited about the future. For instance, I can wax nostalgic about going to the Tennessee Valley Fair last fall and the great time I had with my friends Katy and Tresa. I could dwell in the “coulda, shoulda, woulda” moments (shoulda done a semester studying abroad, coulda stayed at the […]
