My Week in Pins – Landscapes

I’ve had a rather busy week and I was pinning the other night thinking that I could use one of those O, Oprah Magazine “Breathing Space” moments. You know what I’m talking about, right? She prints a beautiful two-page photo and encourages her readers to use the photo as inspiration to a moment to reflect and relax… to use it as a “breathing space.” So this week in pins, I decided to share some beautiful “breathing space” moments for you to take a few moments from your busy day and try to de-stress… breathe in and breathe out… relax and enjoy! My Week in Pins – Odd Couples

This week in “My Week in Pins”, which is a day late (sorry about that), I decided to showcase some really cute “odd animal couples”. So enjoy! [All pins are taken from Pinterest, but I do name the original source.] These donkeys remind me of the ones that roam my future retirement land in Colorado. Love their cooky smiles! These two friends understand the joys of sharing! You can just see and feel the love between these two beautiful dogs. I love seeing teamwork between these two pandas. Who says dogs and cats can’t get along! My dad has four […]

Reading “Letters from a Nut”

Jerry Seinfeld “knew from the beginning that I had to do everything I could to let as many people as possible read the hilarious truth about what has been going on inside the mailbox of Ted L. Seinfeld’s first contact with Mr. Nancy was on the night of August 30, 1995, when he went to a friend’s house to watch the Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon. He […]

My Week in Pins – Autumn

My husband and I went to a VW car show in Sevierville this morning and it was a chilly, overcast day. He was loving the cooler weather while I was dressed in layers! I love seeing the leaves change colors and fall to the earth. I also love the smells of Autumn, like hot apple cider, cinnamon raisin oatmeal cookies, and pumpkin pie. I also love the comfy sweaters, the colorful scarfs, and the stylish boots that accompany this cooler season. October, which is my husband’s favorite month, is a special month for us because my husband and I got married 14 years […]

My Week in Pins

I was asked this week, “Are you from here?”, meaning if I was from Tennessee. “No,” I said. “I’m from Texas.” This is my response… always! I only spent about 16 years (from age 6 months to age 16) in the great state of Texas. Then I spent two years in Biloxi, Miss., but I’ve lived in Tennessee the longest. I explain to those who ask, “I grew up just outside of Lubbock, in the small town of Levelland. Then we moved to Biloxi when my dad transferred from Reese AFB to Keesler AFB. Then in 1991, I moved to Cleveland, Tennessee, to […]
