Although I have lived in East Tennessee since the fall of 1991, my heart belongs to Texas. I grew up out west, in Levelland, surrounded by cotton fields, marching in the high school band, and making life-long friends. I truly am heartbroken by the devastating weather reports and tragic news that I hear about when listening to my local NPR radio station. My heart perks up when I hear uplifting stories about families reuniting and pets being rescued. I don’t have much to say except for this… Please donate to Red Cross or another reputable organization that is helping the […]
Links I Love: August
There are a lot of other great bloggers out there and in the spirit of bloggers supporting bloggers, I like to share the links I love from their blogs. The wonderous thing though, is that these tips are great for any time you feel like the world is running away from you. The EveryGirl – “How to Get Fit If You Hate Working Out” I have gotten into a bit of a […]

This month, I’ve invited three of my favorite Country Music couples. I don’t listen to country music as much now as I did several years ago {I’m an NPR junkie}, but these country music artists are still some of my favorites to this day. The three couples I’ve invited to my {imaginary} dinner party are Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, Garth Brooks […]
