Instagram is my favorite form of social media, simply because pictures are literally worth a thousand words, or in this case, a thousand #hashtags. Some days I can’t wait to open my Instagram feed just to see what people post. Instagram is a treasure trove of beauty, indulgence, food, fashion, love, and life. I follow people, models, magazines, businesses, as well as friends and fmily. I follow fitness, beauty, fashion, and celebrities. I watch as people travel, party, change their hairstyle or haircolor, announce their pregnancy and then the birth, announce new business ventures, celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, and deaths, and […]
Wish List Wednesday: Sephora
Sephora has such a wide array of beauty products, from their own Sephora brand to luxe items like Christian Louboutin’s lipsticks. They have online exclusives as well as a VIB Beauty Insider Rewards program. I love the Sephora store at my hometown mall, but the experience was at the New York City store phenomenal. I spent almost $200 in a blink of the eye! I could walk through the store with a push cart and fill it up with all kinds of beauty goodies, but for now, here are the items on my shortlist. 1. Hum Nutrition Red Hot Holidays […]
Magazine Overload
I recently used some airlines miles to subscribe to several of my favorite magazines. And today, I hit the motherload! I received not one, not two, but FIVE of my favorite magazines. Talk about magazine overload! 1. GLAMOUR Can I just say that I have a crush on Sandra Bullock? Surely I’m not alone, right? Fall is such a wonderful season because there is so much to do… apple picking, jumping in a pile of leaves, camping, carving pumpkins, tailgating… like I said, there is so much to do! Check out this list from Tomboy Vintage. They have some great ideas that you could do one or two every day from now until Thanksgiving! There are some really great ideas on that list, right? I would never have thought to try to make a scarecrow, but now I want to do just that! If that long list is too long, you could also try a […]
Throwback Thursday: No Time For Skirts
Back in Junior High, I wanted to be an actor. I wanted to take the stage by storm, showcase my talent on the big screen, and win an award. That dream was burning bright in my heart and soul in 9th grade when my drama class, taught by Mrs. Mayberry, put on the play, “No Time For Skirts”. Above is a photo of the newspaper clipping of my drama class, “in character”. Needless to say, there were only four guys in our class, and one guy had to play a dual role. My friend, Stacy Kendrick, and I played the […]
