I love finding an outfit that I feel like I could live in all summer, and this pink ombre dress is perfect. Not only does it look good on my dress form, but I totally believe that can (and will) rock this dress this summer!
I purchased it from my blogger friend Katie Lee {of Pearls & Twirls} and her lovely boutique, My Kind of Lovely. This lightweight dress is flowy and doesn’t cling to the body… it’s like it was made just for me!
For this dress form outfit, I paired the dress with my always “in style” denim jacket. Even though it’s summer and the temps are rising, having a denim jacket {or a lightweight jacket or sweater} on hand will come in handy if you’re somewhere that might get chilly after the sun goes down or if it gets breezy. And because this dress is lightweight and flowy, I’ll keep my undergarments neutral and lightweight as well.
I’m sure that white or pink shoes would be ideal, but I decided to pair it with some neutral Coach flats {which I purchased several years ago at Burlington Coat Factory in Knoxville, Tenn.} that lace up around the the ankle. I also have a pair of pink Converse sneakers that I’m sure will find their way on my feet when I wear this dress.
As for accessories, I pinned my Chanel brooch to my denim jacket and frosted the neckline with a pink and white cubic zirconia necklace. And because I’m a bag snob, I decided to pair my iconic Gaia Ark bag with this dress form outfit.
This has got to be one of my favorite dress form outfits since I started this blog back in January of 2012.
I’ve got a family party planned for next weekend and I think I may wear this dress… with my pink Converse sneakers! And when I wear this dress, I’ll be sure to post a picture to my Instagram {@vanessa_h_wood}.
