A couple of weeks ago, I came home to find my FabFitFun Fall 2020 box waiting patiently for me to reveal some new favorites. I love supporting new brands, and this season’s box featured 18 {YES! 18!} female-founded brands, like Jenny Bird and Volition Beauty.
This season’s box was designed by Zoe Wodarz, a freelance creative specializing in pattern, trend and illustrations. In their continued commitment to sustainability, FFF replaced the standard bleached white box with a 100% recycled kraft box, and the inside tissue paper and air pillows were replaced with 100% recycled kraft paper.
I always like reading the FabFitFun magazine that comes in every box because it not only details every item that was available for that season’s box, but it gives you helpful tips and tricks on how and when to use the products.
Inside My Fall 2020 FFF Box
Botkier New York Trigger Backpack {$100}
Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Serum {$65}
Jenny Bird Austin Cuff {$135}
Masontops Glass Water Bottle w/ Neoprene, in turquoise {$35}
Likwid Rx Stress Reliever Ayurvedic Hair Oil {$75}
The Laundress New York Crease Release {$16}
Hythe Tranquility Sleep Mist {$22}
Beauty Papier Golden Superfood Shower Gel {$30}
I was a bit hesitant in selecting the Botkier backpack {shown below}, especially since the tote bag was also an option. I figured that since I already had a large tote bag that I would opt for this backpack — and so far, I’ve not been disappointed! It is small, but it sure is spacious!
With past season’s boxes, when given a choice, I’ve selected necklaces over rings or earrings or bracelets. But this time I selected Jenny Bird‘s Austin cuff {shown above}, which is a nice mix of classic and modern chains. For me, this is my introduction to stack bracelets, so I’m excited to style it with my weekend outfits.
Masontops glass water bottle provides me with daily motivation… DRINK MORE WATER! Thankfully, it comes with a stylish turquoise neoprene cover. It holds up to 20 ounces, which for me, is a lot of water!
I love Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta peel pads, so I was excited to try the Pore Perfecting and Refining serum. It will be an added benefit to my current skincare routine.
I ordered a few add-ons: Spongelle Boxed Flower in Autumn Bloom, Mio Skincare Workout Wonder Muscle Motivator Gel, and Cocofloss Mint. I also ordered The Laundress Signature Detergent, but it wasn’t shipped with my order; however, FFF’s wonderful customer service department is remedying this and hopefully, I’ll get this product soon.
FFF Cover Model
This season’s magazine featured Top Chef and Taste the Nation host Padma Lakshmi {who turned 50-years-old on September 1st}. She said that she felt more confident in her 40s than she ever has, which she said came from having a better understanding of the world and her place in it.
“I have the confidence now to voice things that I wouldn’t have 20 years ago. I feel secure in my convictions and my achievements,” said Padma.
She personally chose No Kid Hungry as this season’s charity.
“I Love No Kid Hungry because they help ensure that children get the nutrition they ned, like healthy breakfasts at school and free food during the summertime. I just think kinds deserve an equal chance at creating their own success, and that’s better achieved with a full stomach.”

FFF partnered with No Kid Hungry because they are “committed to ensuring kids get three healthy meals a day during this {COVID-19} crisis and beyond.” Learn more about how you can support No Kid Hungry at nokidhungry.org/help.
Celebrating Successful Women
“I realized that good quality, beautifully designed fashion jewelry was hard to find, and I loved designing jewelry the most…. I the hurdles and setbacks were frequent and grueling… I started celebrating each small win and rolling them into the next opportunity.” – Jenny Bird, Founder & CEO, JENNY BIRD
“Consumers are smart and know what they want; the crowdsourcing concept of Volition was born: real women submitting ideas for products they’ve been searching for. We’ve seen industry professionals, influencers, moms, everyday women, and students submit ideas… we celebrate our successes as a team.” – Patricia Santos and Brandy Hoffman, Co-Founders, Volition Beauty
“I wanted to do something significant, [and] to do something that I loved that would be important. I had this stroke of inspiration that maybe the same golden ratio I learned about in art school could be applied to shaping brows, bringing balance and portion to my client’s faces. I believed in my vision, and that is what kept me going.” – Anastasia Soare, CEO & Founder, Anastasia Beverly Hills
