From his dark, well-groomed eyebrows {which he inherited from his famous father} to the outlandish outfits he wore on Schitt’s Creek, Dan Levy has a swagger about him that made him a shoe-in to be this month’s “Man of Style“.
Daniel Joseph Levy is an Emmy® nominated showrunner, and a writer, actor, director, and producer, best known for his work on one of the most beloved shows on television, Schitt’s Creek, which he co-created with his father Eugene Levy {seen below with Dan}.

Dan may have gotten his start hosting Canada’s MTV Live, but he really gained mainstream popularity starring as David Rose on Schitt’s Creek. Not only does Dan have his own eyewear line, but his “cocked-brow swagger lets him get away with anything.”
Talking Schitt’s Creek…
Dan’s character {on Schitt’s Creek}, David, wore head-to-toe Rick Owens early on and he pulled a lot from his own closet. His style evolves from avant-garde. {The Star}
“It’s a process that I think I’m still learning, and I think actually playing David has given me a sense of confidence that I never had before.”
Dan Levy, to GQ Magazine, on being comfortable in his own skin
David Rose, the character, is as much of a fashion buff as Dan Levy, the real-life person. The latter is known to have had a heavy involvement in dressing the former, and was instrumental in creating some of the show’s most iconic looks.
“I don’t think I would have the sartorial confidence to wear what David wears on the day to day, especially in certain situations,” he told Vogue.
Dan would scour the internet, sift through vintage shops, and tear through consignment stores all in the hopes of uncovering the perfect, unique items that he knew in his bones his characters would be wearing if they were real, human people. {Huffington Post}
Talking Dan’s Personal Style…
In real life, Dan may not wear David Rose’s stylish {big & baggy} sweaters, signature draped hoodies, or those drop-crotch pants, but he does have a style all his own and he wears it well. And like his character, Dan also owns a lot of Rick Owens clothing.
“I always look to the greats for style inspiration: Paul Newman, Robert Redford, and Miles Davis.”
Dan Levy
“He has that classic-with-a-flair type of aesthetic, and his glasses, too, are very iconic. He appreciates the clothes and wears them really well. He is wearing them — they’re not wearing him.”
Stylist Erica Cloud, to InStyle, on Dan Levy’s style
He has his own eyewear line, D.L. Eyewear. I don’t recall him wearing glasses on Schitt’s Creek {sunglasses, yes, but not glasses}, but his eyewear line includes both glasses and sunglasses.

When I first started watching Schitt’s Creek, I knew that Dan had to be Eugene’s son. He is funny, smart, and passionate about the world around him. I would totally love to have dinner with him, and just get to know him! He seems like my kind of people!
Have you watched Schitt’s Creek? If not, then what are you waiting for!!
Yours Truly,
Vanessa
