Yesterday, I featured a guest post about the twelve shoes every southern woman should have in her closet, and I told you that I would share some links to where you could purchase some of these styles. Well, here you have it — a southern woman’s shoe guide.
I didn’t include links to all twelve shoe styles featured on Monday’s post, only the ones that I felt would carry you through the rest of fall and all through winter. But as Holly wrote in her guest post, trends come and go, but there are some classics that every southern woman should own. So I picked out these six styles and included some links for where you can buy them. I’ve also included the brief description of each of these six styles from yesterday’s post.
Simple Sneaker
“An everyday sneaker might be the most important shoe to invest in because it has to take us everywhere! Both comfy and stylish, a classic pair of high or low top canvas sneakers are ideal when you’re running late or getting ready for a busy day. Pick a pair of white or off-white tennis shoes with a pair of jeans and a clean, simple sweater for a chic, preppy look.

- adidas Originals All-White Stan Smith Sneakers, ASOS {$90}
- Cruz, Tretorn {$65}
Cowboy Boots
This one might seem like a bit of a stereotype for a Southern woman, but the cowboy boot is an undeniable attention-grabber and goes with anything from a dress to a pair of daisy dukes. Not only are they a unique combination of tough and feminine (especially the ones with a lot of unique embroidery), they are also one of the most trend-defying shoes–while no one really knows who invented them, cowboy boots have been around since at least the 1870s. Talk about timeless!
- Shyanne® Floral Embroidered Western Boots, Boot Barn {$179.99}
- Campus Stitching Horse Boots, FRYE {$348}
- The Harper, Tecovas {$275}
Duck Boots
One of the worst feelings in the world has to be having an outfit planned out the night before, only to wake up the next morning to find out it’s pouring rain–or snow–outside. Luckily, the duck boot exists. Waterproof and warm, duck boots are perfect for times when there’s no way you can step outside the house in any of your more delicate shoes without completely ruining them. Paired with a high, scrunched up statement sock or a tucked pair of pants, the duck boot can also give you a cozy cold-weather look that is perfect for a bonfire or camping trip. Also, if you’re ever looking to really go off the grid and explore nature, duck boots are your go-to!

Loafer

Whether it’s brightly colored, boldly designed or covered in tassels, feathers or glitter, everyone needs one high heel in their closet that sets them apart from the rest. Perfect for nights out dancing with the girls or for a special date, a pair of statement heels are meant to make you happy every time you look at them.
