I love seeing how other bloggers style one piece of clothing several different ways. I always think to myself, “I can do that!” So when I was transitioning my dresser from summer to winter clothes, I rediscovered this sweater that I purchased from Kohl’s back in the spring. Then I thought, “It’s sweater weather! I can style this at least three ways!”
As I said, I purchased this Cloud Chaser sweater from Kohl’s back in the spring. It was originally $40 and I got it on sale {and I mean, “on sale”} for the low price of only $4! Can you believe that bargain? What I like about this sweater is the embroidered appliques, and that the sweater is actually soft and not scratchy.
First Look
I paired the sweater with my high rise Tomboy Lucky jeans and my Mossimo {from Target} wedge booties. For a weekend morning brunch with my girlfriends, I’d probably wear my pink Converse chucks. I really like these jeans for several reason, but mainly because they are (1) high-waisted and (2) are button fly. They take me back to my junior high school days when everyone was wearing button fly jeans.
Second Look
For this look, I paired the sweater with a maxi denim skirt {which I purchased at a thrift store for about the same prices as I spent on the sweater}. Again, the wedge booties are pictured with this outfit, but I’d probably wear a pair of white tennis shoes or my Steve Madden Freebird boots. This would be a good look for a late lunch with the family. I originally purchased this skirt to make myself an above the knee denim skirt, but I kind of like this length for fall and winter.
Third Look
In thinking about an evening look, I decided to pair the sweater with my black coated leggings, which I purchased from Wal-Mart, and {of course} my black Mossimo wedges. This sweater hits just at the hips, so it would show off my derriere for a date nite with my husband. {I may wear this outfit on our date to see Cody Jinks in concert next week!}
I would also carry my new Halston double pouch large wristlet, which I purchased from FabFitFun for only $14.
So how do you like these looks?
Let me know what you think of these three look in the comments below. I’d also love to know if there are any other ways you’d style this sweater.
On a side note, today is the last day of Blogtober 2018. There were may days and nights that I didn’t think I’d be able to publish a post in time, but I did. Don’t get me wrong — it was time consuming, but it was also personally rewarding to accomplish the goal of publishing a post every day this month. Here’s to another Blogtober in the books. Let’s do this again next year, shall we?
Tomorrow is the first day of November 2018! Can’t believe there are only two months left in this year! Where did the time go? Anyhoo, I’ll be posting a round-up of all the Blogtober 2018 posts this weekend, in case you missed a couple of days.
Yours Truly,
Vanessa
