I have always wanted to go to California! I have a couple of friends who live out there and they love it! I actually went to L.A. a couple of years ago for a blog conference, but I didn’t get to venture out beyond the hotel and the area around the Staples Center. I did go on a walking tour, which was amazing, but there is so much to see in California besides downtown L.A.

California holds such intrigue, mainly because I have always wanted to be an actress, but I never pursued that dream. It is on my “coulda-shoulda-woulda” list.
There is so much to do and see in California, including Chinatown, Griffin Park and observatory, the Farmer’s Market in L.A., Balboa Park, Alcatraz Island, Napa Valley wineries, Sequoia and King’s Canyon National Park, Joshua Tree National Park, the Redwood National Forest, Venice Beach, Death Valley, Laguna Beach, Big Sur, Golden Gate Bridge, and Lombard Street in San Francisco, just to name a few.
I’m a bit of a homebody, so the nightlife of L.A. is not something that interests me all that much, but I love a good restaurant. I also love good thrift store and antique store shopping!

Here are some of the other places on my “California Wish List”:

I found this website, This Is My Happiness, and it featured an article about the 30 Things to Northern California. It has some really great ideas, so check it out.
I hope to get to California again one day, take a drive along the Pacific Coast Highway, dip my toes in the Pacific Ocean, and maybe, just maybe one day, sit in the stands at the Oscars Red Carpet and scream (in a polite way, of course) at celebrities until I lose my voice!
Until then, I will scour Pinterest for travel ideas and keep dreaming of the day that I will get the opportunity to visit California for a more extended vacation! What is your favorite part of California? Are there any “must see” or “must do” things I should put on my California bucket list? Let me know in the comments below!
Yours Truly,
Vanessa
