I’ve read quite a lot this month, even though the middle of the month was full of loss and heartbreak for my small little family. I’ve been reading about healing crystals, how to make your bathroom feel like a spa, and how to spring-clean your life.
8 Crystals that will help you through Mercury Retrograde
Staying sane during MR can be tough. My inbox has been full of articles about the power of crystals, and how you can use them in your life and around your house. I am looking to buy some crystals, and some of these are making my list, like Tiger’s Eye, fluorite, and clear quartz. I’m also loving jade, especially those jade facial rollers. Check out the other link below, detailing the 411 on crystals.
The Best Affordable work totes inspired by Paris street style
This article had me at Paris, the rest was extra. And as much as I love purses, handbags, totes, or whatever you call your carry-all, I wasn’t a fan of some of these bags. Maybe I would change my mind if I were actually in Paris seeing these totes being carried by some fashionable bloggers on the street. I did like the H&M black tote bag as well as the Mui Mui textured tote. So why did I put this link on this list if I didn’t like the post as a whole? Because, someone out there will actually like these totes, regardless of my opinion, and I strive to give you my honest opinion.
14 Products that will make your bathroom feel like a spa
Who doesn’t like going to a spa and relaxing, except without the price tag of a spa. I love the ultra-luxury shower-head, and it makes me want to upgrade our shower-head this weekend! I haven’t owned a robe since college, but buying a plush robe to slip on after a hot shower or bath seems luxurious. There are several products on this list that I will definitely be investing in before the summer!
The Stripe’s Favorite Podcasts
It’s been a long time since I’ve listened to a podcast on my iPod, but these sound wonderful, especially Forever 35 and A Few Things {Of a Kind podcast}. The Stripe’s Grace Atwood always puts great lists together, and this list of some of her favorite podcasts is another one to bookmark for later.
5 Things in your life to Spring-Clean (That have nothing to do with your house)
Spring is the perfect time to do some spring cleaning, but this article shares some spring-cleaning tips. These tips pertain to every other aspect of your life, like how to clean up your diet, your computer and phone, your makeup bag, and your finances. These tips are great and you’ll find yourself reaching for your notepad and pen to start making a list of things you need to and want to spring-clean in your life!
6 Ways to Hack your Habits for Optimum Brain Health
Have you seen Still Alice? If not, watch it. It will totally make you want to increase your brain health and do brain teasers. I find myself, at times, questioning my brain health. If you want to stay sharp, then these “hacks” are great. This article encourages you to do things like journaling and staying hydrated. It also says that you should stop trying to multi-task {check out my post about single-tasking}, which is a great way to make yourself {and your brain} focus on one thing at a time.
The Best Essential Oil for your Zodiac sign
As a Capricorn, my essential oil would be sandalwood. I do love the smell of sandalwood! I also use peppermint to boost my senses. What is your “signature” essential oil based on your Zodiac sign?
As I mentioned earlier, I’ve been doing a lot of reading on the healing powers of crystals. This blog post has some great educational info. I like what Alyssa says about crystals: “When unearthed, every crystal projects subtle, invisible vibrations that interact with your own energy fingerprint.” I am going to find a crystal shop and see if I can find a few that speak to my own energy fingerprint. This post / interview is very informative, especially if you’re like me and know nothing about the healing powers of crystals. Some people may think it’s hokum, but there may be something to this whole crystal trend.
I hope you enjoy these links and find them as entertaining, educational, and informative as I did.
On a personal note… I mentioned earlier that my little family suffered a loss this month. We had to put our sweet Daisy down, and my heart is still healing. To help me deal with her passing, I wrote a tearful blog post that I hope you’ll read. If you’ve even loved a animal, and either had to put them down or they passed unexpectedly, then you’ll feel my loss. You also may have noticed that I haven’t been posting as regularly this past month as I have in previous months. I will be revisiting my editorial calendar this weekend and plan to get back into the swing of things this next month to bring you some great posts.
Yours Truly,
Vanessa
