People around the world are enthralled with the new that American actress and humanitarian, Meghan Markle, is engaged to Prince Harry. So it is with my own excitement of their impending marriage in May 2018 that I have decided to feature Meghan as this month’s “Woman of Style.”

Since announcing their engagement on Monday, November 27th, Meghan is trending on all forms of social media and internet searches, from details about her mother and father, the engagement ring, her role on Suits, her net worth, and her future husband, Prince Harry. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Calif., she graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in theatre and international studies.

Since July 2011, Meghan has played paralegal-turned-attorney Rachel Zane on the USA Network show Suits. She completed work on the series’ seventh season just this past Fall and will not return to the show. She has commented in a BBC interview that she is giving up acting to assume her royal duties and to devote her time to humanitarian causes.
Meghan has great style, from her casual outfits worn walking her dog or strolling around with a large bouquet of flowers or her yoga mat in her arms, to her lovely, lady-like outfits worn in magazines or to premiere events.

Some people may balk at the fact that (1) she is bi-racial and (2) a divorcee. Well, you know what? If Prince Harry and his family don’t care about her past and can accept her for who she is, then why can’t we be happy for them. Besides, if you don’t have anything nice to say about the happy couple, then don’t say anything at all. There you have it, my two cents on the issue.

I look forward to seeing how Meghan’s style evolves as she assumes her royal duties. I’m also excited to see which dress she chooses to wear when she marries Prince Harry in May.
