It’s Fall y’all, and you know what that means? Cooler weather. Pumpkin spice wafting in the air. Beautiful scenery. And the coolest thing of all is that this is the best season for falling in love. So whether you’re looking for a first date idea or just looking to spend some time with your long-time love, I think you’ll find these Fall date ideas romantic and inspiring.
Today is my 19th anniversary {Happy Anniversary, Mike!}, and even after all these years, my husband and I still go on some pretty great dates. I think I got lucky with my husband because he still calls me up and asks me out on dates, and occasionally he asks me out as if we had just recently met. {Sometimes, for old times’ sake, I’ll answer with “I guess so.”} He doesn’t have to send me flowers or buy me jewelry. For us, it’s the time we give to each other that matters most, which is why I like a lot of those “fall date ideas.”
Some of my friends have asked me how we keep things sparking. Well, for one, we don’t have children so we have more time for each other than some couples. But I tell them that we make time for date night at least once a week, even if it’s just dinner at our local watering hole {a.k.a. Gallo Loco}. Then every month or so, we splurge on a bigger date night, kind of like we did when we went to Nashville to see Aaron Watson in concert at the Ryman. That was actually our pre-Anniversary gift to each other.
