With summer quickly approaching, I see more and more people wearing outfits where white is the prominent color. They may be wearing a white dress with a pop of color with a necklace or white pants or jeans with a colorful sleeveless top. Just this past weekend, I wrote a blog post about how to wear white this summer and featured some white outfit inspirations. So I got inspired to featured a couple of outfits on my dress form – one for day and the other for night.
First up is the day outfit. I paired my white boyfriend jeans with a striped shirt. The shirt may be a little warm for summer, but I really like the detail on the shoulder. I paired the outfit with wedge platform sandals.
This next outfit is for night. It is an off-the-shoulder dress with bell sleeves. I actually purchased this dress last summer and still have not worn it. I love the detailing along the center of the front of this dress as well as the detailing on the sleeves. I think this dress needs just a pop of color with a statement necklace and some popping wedge sandals. What do you think?
I’m a little nervous about two things when it comes to this dress: (1) wearing an off-the-shoulder dress; and (2) wearing a white dress because I’m afraid it will be see-through. I purchased this dress from Target for $8.38 and think I actually got a little more of a discount because I used the Target Cartwheel app. I actually saw another blogger wear a thin scarf with her off-the-shoulder dress, which I never thought of doing. I could totally do that with this dress, and just may try that one date night with the hubby later this summer!
So here are the details on the above outfits:
Jeans: G by Giuliana Disney Alice Through The Looking Glass Collection, HSN {No longer available, but she still has some great items on HSN that I think you’d love, including her boyfriend jeans, which are super comfy. I practically live in mine!}
Top: Cha Cha Vente {purchased at a thrift store}
Shoes: Aldo, DSW {These are cute and a little comfortable, but there is a piece along the ankle line that rubbed a blister on my ankle, so I don’t wear them much anymore. I got them on sale last summer. I usually only wear them out to dinner, or when I know I won’t be walking around a lot.}
Dress: Mossimo, Target {No longer available, but here is one similar.}
More dress form outfits coming your way every month!
Yours Truly,
Vanessa
