Have you seen that Old Navy commercial where a group of young ladies and girls are wearing cute spring dresses while riding skateboards? Well, I have just fallen in love with a couple of those dresses and I want to add one or two of them to my wardrobe!
Old Navy
1. Off-the-Shoulder Crinkle-Gauze Dress {$40}
2. Ruffle-Trim Cami Dress {$26}
3. Printed Ruffle-Hem Shirt Dress {$19.97}
Seeing that commercial got me thinking about how I need to switch out my Winter wardrobe for my Spring wardrobe. Then I started receiving some newsletters from other bloggers who were sharing their Spring dress lists, and it got me even more excited about all of the Spring dresses I’ve been seeing in the department stores and in the commercials {like the Old Navy one}.
Rank & Style recently shared “10 Best Spring Dresses Under $100” on their website. My favorite was the Madewell Silk Fiesta Paisley Dress {$100}. I love this dress because (1) it’s not fitted so it is a little forgiving on a curvier body like mine, (2) it’s a mini dress by with long sleeves (which can be pushed up the arms), and (3) the pattern on the dress is super cute and stylish.
The Curvy Fashionista also shared “20 Plus Size Spring Dresses We Want Now” and I fell in love with Striped Wrap Dress by Prabal Gurung at Lane Bryant (although it’s currently sold out). Wrap dresses are so stylish and are perfect for Spring and Summer.
Looking for some other Spring Dresses under $100? Then check out ChicWish. They have so many cute dresses, and since Easter is just around the corner, you could find your perfect Easter dress at an affordable price. {And just so you know, anytime you order online – without having the opportunity to try something on – you might want to go up a size, just to be on the safe side.}
I love the Spring Dress list from Ariana V. of The Write Beauty. She shared some of her favorite {affordable} dresses from Forever 21. And I love that she writes her blog posts in both English and Spanish! Check out her blog! She’s awesome!
And every year, InStyle editors comb through the Spring 2017 fashion collections and highlight the top fashion and accessories trends of the season. One of the articles you can find in this collection of articles is about “7 Perfect Spring Dresses Under $50.” I really liked the Midi Tier Dress from Gap {$48} and the Mix Print Dress from Gap {$50}.
So how can you style your Spring dresses? Mixing super feminine pieces, like a lace dress, with something fierce, like a leather jacket, is a trend that has been around for a long time. Actually, I don’t know if I’d call it a “trend”. I think I’d put it more in the “classic look” category. You can also dress up a feminine dress with a pair of high heel sandals, or you can dress it down with a pair of classic white tennis shoes. You could also give your outfit a little edge by rocking a pair of motorcycle boots. Top your sleeveless maxi dress or strapless dress with a denim jacket and some cute slides or open-toe booties. Drape a thin scarf over your shoulders in place of a jacket. Wear a large floppy hat, or go sporty and wear a baseball cap.
How do you like to style your Spring dresses? Where do you like to purchase your Spring dresses? And how much are you willing to spend for the perfect Spring dress?
Yours Truly,
Vanessa
