My husband and I love Big Bang Theory. Throughout the week, you can often find us watching reruns of this comedy. Sheldon, Leonard, Howard, and Raj can often be found at The Cheesecake Factory, where Penny may or may not be taking their orders. Or you can find them passing out food cartons in Sheldon and Leonard’s apartment. It seems like food is in integral part of this show. So what better idea than to invite the cast of BBT over for dinner!
This fun-loving, close-knit group of pals are friends on and off screen. They support each other’s accomplishments. It great to see the camaraderie between both the trio of female leads as well as the quartet of male leads. So who’s invited? Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Melissa Rauch, Simon Helberg, Kaley Cuoco, Kunal Nayyar, and Mayim Bialik.
BBT has been on the air since 2007 and I’ve loved every minute of it. We have shared the highs and lows with this cast of characters – through their break-ups (Penny and Leonard, Sheldon and Amy), hook-ups (Penny and Raj), job changes (when Sheldon got fired and his mom got him re-hired), and deaths (Howard’s mother, who you only heard and never saw).
While having lunch at the University canteen or other eating scenes, characters don’t actually eat most of the times. Howard only pretends to eat the food by moving his mouth like he is chewing it, Sheldon and Leonard just play with their food with fork.Amy and Penny are sometimes shown eating food actually. They only talk most of the time.
So what would I make this group of actors for dinner? No, not Chinese food.
For my imaginary dinner party with the cast of Big Bang Theory, I’d start out with a salad with all the toppings. I know Mayim Bialik is vegan, so I would fix lemon and broccoli pesto pasta (vegan/vegetarian) as well as a hearty meat sauce with spaghetti. For dessert, I would have two (vegan) options: chocolate wacky cake and vegan sweet potato donuts with spiced sugar. Of course, I would also have non-vegan options, like ice cream and chocolate chip cookies.
After dinner, I would engage these lovely people in a classic game of Pictionary, “gals vs guys”, kind of like they did in the episode, “The Re-Entry Minimization.” Oh, what fun! As animated as this cast of characters are on-screen, could you imagine how funny they are off-screen? I so wish that this dinner party could happen IRL!! It would be EPIC!!
So if you could ask the cast of Big Bang Theory one question, what would it be? Leave your questions and comments below!
Yours Truly,
Vanessa

Yum, looks delicious, especially the vegan pesto pasta! I want to try that out, maybe tonight!
Thanks, Alice! If you try the pasta recipe, let me know how you like it!
