Are you a fan of Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal, and How to Get Away With Murder? If so, then you’ll love this month’s fantasy dinner party! Give it up for the ladies of T.G.I.T., as brought to you by the masterful show runner, Shonda Rhimes. So grab your wine cardigan, your favorite bottle of red wine, and kick off your heels. Welcome to dinner, ladies — Viola Davis, Kerry Washington, Ellen Pompeo, and Shonda Rhimes.
First came Grey’s Anatomy, which aired mid-season in 2005, and introduced us to the lovable Meredith Grey, played by Ellen Pompeo. Then in 2011, Kerry Washington entered our lives as the Scandal-icious Olivia Pope, a fixer in Washington, D.C., who just so happened to be sleeping with the President of the United States. Then in 2015, Viola Davis stepped into ShondaLand as the Annalise Keating, a law professor who, along with five of her students, gets entangled in a murder plot in How to Get Away with Murder.
These ladies deserve a wonderful meal. So I would make crab-stuffed chicken breasts with asparagus, paired with a good bottle of red wine.
Then the five of us would carry the party to the living room to chat. I, of course, would have some gourmet truffle popcorn with a nice Bordeaux, as their similar flavors will pair well together and you can never have too much truffle.
Olivia Pope loves a rare 1994 red wine. “We got the ’94 du Bellay,” she exclaims to Jake of this fictional Châteauneuf-du-Pape. “Only 100 bottles ever made, and now we have five. This will change your life.”
My first question of the night would be directed to Shonda. “What’s next, Shonda?” Then I would ask her to give the short version of her TED talk.

Then the questions would just start coming… “Do you consider yourself a murderer? I only ask because you sure have killed a lot of people.” “When you dream, do you dream in a Grey’s Anatomy world, a Scandal world, or a How to Get Away with Murder world?” “Which character did you kill of that broke your heart?”
To Ellen: “When did you realize that Grey’s Anatomy would be the success that it is today?” “Which character – dead or gone – do you wish would come back to the show?
To Kerry: “What political scandal going on right now, would you – as Olivia Pope – want to fix?” “Do you think that Olivia Pope will get her gladiators back on track?”
To Viola: “Did you kill Wes?” Noooo…. I wouldn’t ask her that! It would spoil what I’m sure would be an OMG! moment in this season’s finale. I would ask her: “How do you get away with murder?” Then I would ask, “What makes you, Viola Davis, tick?”
To all four ladies, I’d ask, “When you’re not filming, what does a typical day look like?” “What causes you to jump out of bed every morning?” “If your character could guest star on another TV show, which show would that be?”
What would you ask these four ladies? Send me your questions by posting them in the comments below!
Yours Truly,
Vanessa

I would have to think hard to come up with a question for the ladies. The only question I have at the moment would be can I come over for dinner with the crab stuffed chicken and truffle popcorn?
Thanks, Rose! I think the conversation with these ladies would flow easily. A I though the dinner menu was fitting for such classy women! And Yes, you can come for dinner!
I’ve actually never seen Grey’s but I love Scandal and HTGAWM! this would be a great dinner party.
Thanks, Liz! If I ever get the opportunity to host these lovely ladies, I’ll invite you!
