Kidz-Safe First Aid Kit Review + Coupon

Today’s blog post is a slight departure from my normal fashion, beauty, or lifestyle post. I have partnered with KidzStuff® for this post to review their 94-piece Kidz-Safe First Aid Kit.

Everyone of us have been to our fair share of baby showers, where mothers-to-be open gifts for the baby from onsies, blankets, and pacifiers to diapers, diaper genies, and strollers. But in all the baby showers I’ve been to, I’ve never seen anyone gift the new parents a first aid kit.

As a Medical Assistant, I appreciate the value of a good first aid kit. And even though I don’t have children, I have friends who have small children and even a few of them just recently had babies. For new parents, having a first aid kit {or two} should be essential. I have had the opportunity to have the Kidz-Safe First Aid Kit for the past month. Along with my own observations, I asked for feedback from a few other medical assistants as well as one of the doctors I work with recently had another grandchild.

Dr. Lytle Brown said that the kit was comprehensive and has some very useful items in it not seen in other kits, like the CPR mask.

Susan Gould, CMA, is a grandmother to small toddlers, and she said, “I would definitely purchase this first aid kit for my grandchildren. It has a lot of items not seen in your usual first aid kits.”

Natasha Pennington, CMA, said of the kit, “They thought of everything, from the splint roll and instant cold pack to the CPR mask. It is great for families with small children.”

Rebekah Allen, RMA, said that it is a great kit for the cost. “I would buy it if I had small children. There are a lot of items in the Kidz-Safe First Aid Kit that are not in the other first aid kids you can buy at the store.”

Other first aid kits available at your local stores {like Wal-Mart, Walgreens, CVS} are typically full of bandages, ointments, tape, and wipes. Most of these kits treat basic first aid incidents and accidents, but none of them {that I found} include a CPR mask. There are even easy-to-follow directions on the enclosed CPR mask. These store kits are developed by big companies and most are not as well thought out as the Kidz-Safe First Aid Kit.

According to the website, this kit was “designed by pediatricians, this 94-piece medical kit contains a comprehensive set of emergency supplies including dressings, bandages, burn cream, triple-antibiotic ointment, sting relief antiseptic wipes, eye wash cup, instant cold pack, gloves, tweezers, scissors and clippers. Conveniently packed in a durable, easy to carry and simple to use nylon bag, this compact medical kit contains everything you need for those little emergencies at home or on the go. Comes complete with a comprehensive Emergency First Aid Guide {in both English and Spanish} covering everything from bites, burns, cuts and splinters to fever, diarrhea and ingestion.”

The first thing I like about KidzStuff® was that it was born out Dr. Narendra Kini’s passion for “pediatric healthcare and a deep desire to make life better for parents and their children.” Dr. Kini was an emergency room pediatric physician. He faced first-hand the many difficulties hospital clinicians face when caring for children, and he was determined to find new ways to solve them.

The solution to these difficulties was to develop a line of cutting-edge products, like the Kidz-Safe First Aid Kit, safety trimmers, insect shield and sun blocker rompers, and insect shield blankets. “Dr. Kini, now President and CEO of Miami Children’s Health Systems, combined the resources from Nicklaus Children’s Hospital and its Research Institute to design a range of innovative health and wellness products developed specifically for children. From protection from overexposure to the sun, to mosquito and insect bites that can cause serious illness, KidzStuff® puts healthcare and safety first. These products are not from a hospital nor medical device companies, but rather from doctors wanting better health for children.”

The second thing I like about KidzStuff® is that they are committed to giving back. “Beyond designing and producing head-to-toe wellness products for children, KidzStuff® provides for the disadvantaged. All profits go towards providing world-class healthcare to the children at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. Simply put, KidzStuff® is committed to you, your child and the wellness of those in need.”

How cool is that! Not only are you purchasing cutting-edge products for your young family, but you are helping to provide world-class healthcare to the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.

Some of the items included in this 94-piece kit are: comprehensive first aid guide book; CPR mask; waterproof tape; instant cold pack; splint roll; gauze; burn cream; antiseptic wipes; and much more!

My friends at KidzStuff® are offering my readers a great deal! 20 % off coupon code valid for the purchase of a first aid kit.  Offer expires on March 31, 2017. {Use coupon code BLOGVAWO}. The kit retails for $19.99.

If you have young children and are in search of a comprehensive first-aid kit for either your home or your car, then check into purchasing this first aid kit. Also, when you get that next baby shower invitation, consider purchasing the new parents a Kidz-Safe First Aid Kit.

Yours Truly,
Vanessa

    1. Thanks, Jenna! I thought it was a pretty great first aid kit, especially since all the other kits I looked at didn’t have the CPR mask.
