Today is Thanksgiving, a national holiday celebrated in both the United States and Canada. The food has been prepared, your family is gathered together, and you and your friends are texting each other to say “Happy Thanksgiving”.

The word – thanksgiving – is also an expression of gratitude {especially to God}. It is also a day that we can do random acts of kindness and show others love.
My hope for you, this Thanksgiving holiday, is to not rush your lunch or your dinner plans to fight and elbow your way through early Black Friday deals. Stay home. Watch traditional holiday movies on TV. Play card games. Watch as many football games as you can. Go to the movie theatre and watch a movie. Or if your city has an outdoor skating rink, go there {as a family} and have some fun together.
My hope for you is to love each other, hug each other, laugh with each other, and tell each other that you are thankful and grateful that they are in your life.
