Thanksgiving is a week away and if you’re not planning to get together with family or friends, then why not get away to somewhere new, explore a different city, and celebrate the holiday by getting away from all the Black Friday frenzy. Thanksgiving can be stressful enough without having to worry about where to go, so I put together a list of last minute Thanksgiving getaways.
- Las Vegas, Nevada
My husband and I went to Las Vegas a couple of years ago for Thanksgiving. We stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and had a fabulous time.
- Dublin, Ireland
There are lot of of things to see and do in Dublin. Try a Thanksgiving pub crawl!
- Montego Bay, Jamaica
Who wouldn’t want to sit on beach on an island for Thanksgiving?
- London
Many hotels, pubs, and restaurants in London have special menus for Americans to celebrate Thanksgiving. You could also visit London’s Hyde Park for Winter Wonderland (11/18/2016 – 1/2/2017).
- Fort Lauderdale – Miami, Florida
Several years ago, we spent Thanksgiving in Key West, but we did spend a few days enjoying the sunny weather in both Fort Lauderdale and Miami.
- Barcelona, Spain
Mild temperatures makes this city a must-see destination for Thanksgiving. - New York, New York
Everyone wants to experience a Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade once in their lifetime, am I right?
- San Jose, Costa Rica
Another warm weather destination!
- Maui or Oahu, Hawaii
Mindy Kaling always spends her Thanksgiving holidays in Hawaii. With views like this, I can see why.
- New Orleans, Louisiana
Instead of traditional pumpkin pie, you can stroll down the French Quarter and try some beignets.
- Tulum, Mexico
Tulum is a popular destination for Thanksgiving, thanks to the lovely beaches and warm weather.
