This past couple of months has been beauty-ful for me, in that I have splurged a little on myself by picking out some items from my must-try products list. My beauty haul comes from both Sephora and Ulta, and I’m loving everything I bought! A few weeks ago, I shared my wish list for Ulta. Since then, I have purchased a few things off that list. Sephora has a lot more high-end brand names, but Ulta has a great selection of other items not available at Sephora.
I bought a new tinted moisturizer, a roller ball perfume, a skincare system, a bronzer mitt (for my sunless tanning lotion), shower tablets and a bath bomb, and more! Check it out!
I first was introduced to Nest fragrances through QVC and last year’s Advent Beauty Box, and I fell in love with the scent of Midnight Fleur. To me (and on me), it smells like cotton candy, but on another friend of mine, it smells like clean sheets.
I really like the Laura Mercier illuminating tinted moisturizer, so I was eager to try this other tinted moisturizer, which I got in Blush. I still love my Mary Kay CC cream, but I’m scraping the last bit out of my bottle and was in need of something new.
I could spend hours in Sephora just browsing all of the beauty and skincare products, and the same goes for Ulta. This past weekend, I got a small eight compartment organizer. I replaced a small cup for this and I’m loving it! I also got a trial size bottle of OGX Nourishing Coconut Milk shampoo. I love the smell! And finally, I got a tanning applicator mitt, which will help to keep the palms of my hands from turning brown when I apply my sunless tanning lotion.
About a month ago, I bought quite a bit, including an Ulta brand Relaxing Bath Bomb in Coconut+Almond Milk and Aromatherapy Shower Tablets in Eucalyptus+Sage (and both items are currently on sale). Then I got the Butter London P.D. Quick Dry Conditioning Drops. I love this product because it literally drys your nails in a matter of seconds! Also, I’ve been using a lot of DevaCurl products and found this Arc Angel defining gel on sale!
Last but not least, I have watched the infomercials for Cindy Crawford’s Meaningful Beauty skincare line and finally took the plunge and bought the introductory system, which includes a softening cleanser, an antioxidant creme moisturizer, the creme de serum, and an ultra lifting and filling treatment.
I’ve been using the Meaningful Beauty products for almost a month, not religiously, but I do like the moisturizer and the Creme de Serum, which I use at night. My skin feels so soft! The bottles are trial size, but for $50 it’s not a bad deal.
So which store do you like better — Sephora or Ulta? Let me know which products you like at either store because I’m always on the hunt for something new to try! Leave your comments and/or suggestions below!
Yours Truly,
Vanessa
