Some people can’t wait for fall because the pumpkin spice drinks come back to Starbucks and people start making pumpkin spiced cookies, cakes, and pies. I’ll be honest… I’m one of those people! But here’s a new way to use pumpkin, or at least it’s new to me!
Pumpkins are filled with antioxidants, zinc, and other vitamins that can benefit your skin in many ways, and it’s especially nourishing to dry and tried skin.
Here are 8 DIY pumpkin skincare products you should try this month.
2 Tbsp Pumpkin Illite Clay
1 Tbsp Pumpkin Powder
1 Tbsp Rhassoul Clay
1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
2 Tbsp Pumpkin Purée (canned or fresh)
2 Tbsp Witch Hazel, or more as needed
Directions: Using a small whisk, blend pumpkin and rhassoul clays, pumpkin powder and cinnamon in a small bowl. Add pumpkin purée and mix thoroughly. Add witch hazel one tablespoon at a time until you have a thick, creamy paste. Add more witch hazel if clay mixture is too thick.

Massage lightly with your fingertips, rinse with warm water. Please use caution when using oils in the shower or tub, as it can be slippery for you and anyone who bathes after you. Please use this scrub responsibly! Enjoy!
Organic Pumpkin Enzyme Face Mask
1 can pumpkin pie puree
2 tsp fresh lemon juice
1 tsp pumpkin see oil
pinch of cinnamon
pinch of nutmeg
Why we love this recipe: Pumpkin enzymes and lemon juice mildly exfoliate, which translates to brighter skin. Pumpkin seed oil is high in fatty acids, which plump the outer layer of skin.
Directions: Mix half a can of pumpkin with the rest of the ingredients. Apply mask and leave on for 10-15 minutes. Rinse well.
DIY Pumpkin Seed Oil Face Serum
One 100ml amber dropper bottle
Organic Pumpkin Seed Oil (fill dropper bottle half full)
Rosehip Seed Oil (fill bottle 3/4 full)
3 drops Vitamin E Oil
Mix all the ingredients together in the amber dropper bottle. Apply this serum in the morning all over your face as a makeup primer and apply a thick coat on before bed every night. Shake well before using. (Product expires after 6-12 months.)
The Recipe:
1/2 tsp canned pureed pumpkin
2 tbs granulated sugar
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice
Add all ingredients together in a bowl and mix until well combined.
To use it, I spread a small amount over my lips and let it sit for about 3 minutes. In that time it dries down a bit and gets more tacky. Then you can either rub it in with your finger to get scrub with the sugar granules, or just rub your lips together! I wiped mine with a cloth (because I’m SO DUMB) but you can just lick it off because hello, Pumpkin pie lips! Then I applied a lip balm once I was done, much like when you use a scrub on your face and follow it up with a nice moisturizer.
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon cooked pumpkin
1 teaspoon raw honey
optional: 1 teaspoon Vitamin E
- 1 tablespoon cooked pumpkin
- 1 teaspoon raw apple cider vinegar
Directions:
Mix and mash all ingredients together and apply to skin.
Leave on skin for 15 minutes.
Rinse with cool water and cleanser.
