During the 90s, models like Elle MacPherson, Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista, Christy Turlington, Helena Christinsen, Claudia Schiffer, and Naomi Campbell, dominated the fashion scene, the catwalks and runways, and dozens of magazine covers. This group of women were known as “The Magnificent Seven.” They were known simply by their first names, and today, they are known for more than just their modeling careers.
For instance, take Elle “The Body” MacPherson. She was given that nickname (“The Body”) by Time Magazine after she appeared on their cover. She has gone on to use this nickname in several business ventures. This is why she has been named this month’s “Woman of Style”.
I recently read an article about her in the Daily Mail, where she said that she can no longer rely on genetics to maintain her beauty and how she relies on an alkaline diet to to help support her body from the inside out, including using her supplements which can be found at WelleCo. At 52, who can deny that she still is “The Body”.
To help keep her locks lustrous, she uses fish oil supplements. She exercises every day, mixing up her routine to keep things fresh, doing at least 45 minutes a day, including running, spinning, tennis, and swimming. And she always engages her core. To maintain her enviable abs, she does hot yoga classes, planks, and sit-ups. She keeps her upper body on point by doing water aerobics and push-ups.
And yet, she is flawless when she hits the Red Carpet. She scrubs (exfoliates) her face every morning and night. She reaches for antioxidant-rich snacks like almonds and dark chocolate. She maintains her healthy figure by sticking to an alkaline diet.
Elle has been called a “yummy mummy” as she takes her children to school. She maintains a classy, yet casual, look on her school runs.
She also nails the boho chic look.
