Who’s ready for Summer? ME!! And what better way to kick off summer than to come home and find my #FabFitFun Summer 2016 box on my doorstep! So now I’m ready to hit the beach!
Editor-in-Chief Katie A. Here’s some extra details about the Summer 2016 edition box. It was designed by artist Alyx House. She has a BFA in Art & Design with an emphasis in Graphic Design from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. FabFitFun partnered with Surfaid, an organization created by Dr. Dave Jenkins with “the core mission to save the lives of women and children in remote areas of Indonesia – areas connected to the surfing community.” You can learn more about Surfaid and how you can help at www.Surfaid.org.
And if the box and all of its contents weren’t enough, they included not one, not two, but THREE betch-ing betchsicles recipes. One recipe is a rainbow ice pop made with fresh fruit. The second recipe is a boozy gummy bear ice pop (made with vodka, which is optional, but why wouldn’t you include it?). The third recipe is a breakfast ice pop. Here’s the recipe for that.
Ingredients:
Strawberry ice cream (of your choice)
Granola
Blueberries
Directions:
1. Scoop a layer of ice cream into the ice pop mold.
2. Next, layer in the granola, blueberries, then finish with another layer of ice cream.
3. Freeze for an hour or until molds harden.
