November is a great month for movie releases, especially around Thanksgiving. After we stuff ourselves with turkey and all the fixin’s, what best way to spend the afternoon or evening – if you’re not watching football, that is – is to head to your local theater and watch a new movie.
This November is going to be pretty awesome for movie-goers.

There is The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2, The Good Dinosaur, Creed, Love the Coopers, The 33, By the Sea, The Secret in their Eyes, and Victor Frankenstein. There is also The Danish Girl starring Eddie Redmayne.
Even though it’s not Christmas, Hollywood gives us the feel-good dysfunctional family movie, Love the Coopers, starring Diane Keaton and John Goodman, as well as a wonderful cast of stars. It premiers on November 13th.
Based on the true story of 33 trapped Chilean miners trapped in this mining catastrophe movie, The 33, starring Antonio Bandares and Lou Diamond Phillips. I am really looking forward to this movie because I remember reading about this when it occurred back in 2010. And the next Brad Pitt-Angelina Jolie movie, By the Sea, also premiers this month. This romantic period drama features them as lovers “derailed by loss, the tenacity of love and the path to recovery and acceptance.” Both of these movies premier on November 13th.
Premiering on November 20th is Secret in Their Eyes, starring Julia Roberts, Nicole Kidman, and Chiwetel Ejiofor. This fast-paced thriller is about a team of FBI investigators looking into the brutal murder of one of their own teenage daughters.
Everyone is excited to see the final installment of The Hunger Games, staring Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth. If you’ve read the books, like millions of people around the world, then you know how the story ends. But to see the story play out on the big screen is what everyone is waiting for, am I right? It hits theaters on November 20th.
The Good Dinosaur is another Disney Pixar creation that looks to be a great family movie and it hits theaters on November 25th, just in time for Thanksgiving! This touching animated movie follows the story of Arlo, an Apatosaurus who gets los and befriends a small human boy that he names Spot.
And who doesn’t love a good boxing comeback movie. Sylvester Stallone reprises his role as Rocky, but this time he doesn’t take to the ring to knock someone out, he steps in as the trainer to the son of one of his former rivals, Apollo Creed. Michael B. Jordan stars as Apollo Creed’s son Adonis. Creed hits theaters on November 25th.
Also premiering on November 25th is Victor Frankenstein, starring James McAvoy as Frankenstein and Daniel Radcliff as his protege Igor. This movie is a twist on the legendary tale of Frankenstein.
What movie are you looking forward to seeing this month?
Have a great day!
