I’m sitting here, watching Texas A&M play Auburn, and I’m already excited about next weekend because I’ll be in College Station, Texas, at the Texas A&M football game!
It started out as a joke when I texted by brother, who is currently a student at Texas A&M, and asked him which football game he was going to take me to this season. Well, after a few back-and-forth texts, it was decided… I’m going to the last home game of the season. I booked a room through Airbnb (excited to meet my hosts) and booked my flight!
I know my brother, Tim, and sis-in-law, Suzanne, have already lined up some things for us to see and do, so I’m hoping that some of these places make it on their list.
We are going to the midnight yell for sure. I stupidly asked him what time it started and he said, “Duh, Vanessa… at midnight.” I inwardly groaned because I have to get up at 4:30 a.m. in order to get to the airport by 6:00 a.m. because my flight leaves at 7:15 a.m. I guess I’ll take my eye mask and catch a few winks on the plane.
I know he plans to take me to either Aggieland Outfitters or the Aggie Warehouse to do a little shopping, but I think he plans to show me around campus. I better pack my walking shoes. The Aggies play Western Carolina and it’s a night game, so I also better pack a comfy scarf, some gloves, and a warm jacket.
So here are some of the things on my Aggieland “things to see and do” list:

I will only be in Texas for less than 60 hours, and I know I have high hopes to see and do everything, but I’m just excited to be spending sometime with Tim and Suzanne. I MUST have my photo taken with some handsome men in uniform! I’m super excited about this upcoming weekend trip that I’m saying “gig ’em” at the end of nearly every sentence!
So what else should I see and do in Aggieland? And most importantly, WHERE should I eat? Come on Aggies, give me some tips on what to see, do, and eat in your lovely college town!
Have a great day!
