I like to think that I’m generally a happy person. I like to think that I’m spreading happiness wherever I go, whether it be at work, with family, or out in public. I try to smile at strangers and say “hello” to passers-by. I think this 30-Day No-Fail Happiness Challenge is a great idea for everyone to try, especially when negativity is not only coming out of the mouths of your friends and family, but also being reported in the news.

You might want to keep a small notebook for this challenge, which you will can use morning and night.
Day 1: Three new things you’re grateful for when you wake up. Don’t think too hard about this. You’ll be listing three new things daily, so by the end of the challenge, you will find that you are grateful of 90 new things. This is something you’ll need to do first thing in the morning, possibly while you’re having your morning cup of coffee or your breakfast.
Day 2: One meaningful thing that has happened to you in the last 24 hours. For 30 days, you’ll write down at least one meaningful thing that happened to you in the past 24 hours. This can be done in the evening, as it will be a time for you to reflect on your day.
Day 3: Reach out to someone you know and praise them. You don’t necessarily need to write down anything for this part,, except maybe note you who praised and why. Again, this can be done in the evening. I think you can reach out to them in person, by snail mail, or by social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram). It doesn’t have to be a long letter of praise, because sometimes the simplest comments are more appreciated.
Day 4: Do 15 minutes of cardio daily. This is a simple thing to add to your daily routine. You can do a quick 15-minute walk either first thing I. The morning, or like myself, you can walk in the evening when it’s cool and not so hot.
Day 5: Meditate for five minutes daily. This can be done at anytime during the day. Taking five minutes daily will not only calm the mind, but also calm your spirit. This will do your mind and body good.
By the end of this challenge, you will have what I’m calling a Happiness Journal. Every day, you will have a list of three things you’re grateful for, one meaningful thing that happened to you in the past 24 hours, and the name of someone you reached out to and praised. You cal also document what you did for your 15 minutes of cardio, and what time and where you meditated.
I would love to hear from you during and after this 30-Day No-Fail Happiness Challenge. Good luck, and may you end up happier after 30 days than you are now!
Have a great day!
