I spent a few hours yesterday cleaning out my closet and found this dress in the back, tucked between a couple of other dresses. I bought it a couple of years ago at a thrift store, but I’ve never worn it. After I tried it on yesterday, I decided to make it this week’s Dress Form Outfit.
I don’t really know what color it is, but I think it looks greyish tan. Because it is a sleeveless shift dress, I paired it a wide elastic belt to give the illusion of a waist. I purchased the belt at Marshall’s in Colorado Springs, CO. To dress it up just a bit more, I thought it would look good with my Burberry-inspired Lucite cuff (hanging on the belt), which I purchased at an antique store in Cleveland, TN. Of course, I would wear this outfit with a pair of black high heels.
As you can see from the photos below, the dress almost changes color depending on the lighting.

Dress: Basic Equipment
Belt: Betsey Johnson
Cuff: no label, Burberry-inspired Lucite
Next week, I’ll be traveling to the Outer Banks, NC. I hope to find a couple of thrift stores to browse through. Any thrift store suggestions or restaurant suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I’ll blog about my trip after I get back next weekend!
